A green cemetery plot is usually considered ‘green’ if it meets certain criteria. The deceased is buried with minimal environmental impact. The burial should help in the conservation of natural resources and help reduce carbon emissions. The ‘ultimate’ green grave is one that is in a conservation burial site where the aim is to restore and preserve that habitat. Encouraging new habitation growth and restoring ecosystems for native wildlife.
No toxic chemicals are used, and only biodegradable materials are used.
